Welcome to Revitalist
Revitalist is a new initiative that intends to take further the concept of Social Farming by elaborating a new curriculum based on a social and therapeutic method of education (Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, PSTE), by creating and collecting a pool of background materials and by establishing a network of professionals, and this way responding to several European regional and local policy needs. The target groups of the new curriculum are social farm employees, and social and agricultural professionals.

Practical Skills Therapeutic EducationPractical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) has been well researched and implemented in England and we have evidence of the remarkable effects it has on students, making of it a high quality learning opportunity.

PartnersStrategic Partnerships for vocational education and training of 7 partners: Hungarian Quality Compost Association (HU), Diversity Foundation (HU), Ruskin Mill Trust (UK), Tiszasas Municipality (HU), WWOOF Hungary (HU), University of South Bohemia (CZ), Agricoltura Capodarco (IT)
Social inclusion Social inclusion of disadvantaged groups - disabled people, people with mental or physical problems, low educated, long-term unemployed people etc. - is the main long-term goal of the Revitalist project.

One of our biggest priorities and incentives is to work alongside the Hungarian legislation to make sure that our training course can be recognized at a national level, and make of it a useful and inspiring qualification that will enhance professionals working on the social field.
All about the project
We propose to teach our target groups practical skills linked to their own history and culture, which in itself can be a serious motivator factor, considering the possibility of a (re-)connection with their own environment, and ultimately themselves, as well as providing new professional opportunities. An important aspect of the method is the development of relevant soft skills such as communication and responsibility.

Within the robust framework offered by the Social Farming concept, we will use an educational method (PSTE) based on an apprenticeship type of teaching-learning. The teaching will focus on practical activities and the result of a successful process is gaining practical, valuable knowledge to people who are not able to join the formal framework of vocational education because of their disabilities or other disadvantages.
